Established in 1956 and today supported by close to 550 foundations, the Foundation Center is a national nonprofit service organization recognized as the nation's leading authority on organized philanthropy, connecting nonprofits and the grantmakers supporting them to tools they can use and information they can trust.

From its inception in 1999, Golden LEAF has been committed to using the funds entrusted to it for projects with the most potential for bolstering North Carolina's long-term economy, especially in tobacco-dependent, economically distressed, and/or rural communities.

GrantSpace, a service of the Foundation Center, offers information and resources that are specifically designed to meet the needs of grantseekers.

The Network is our state's only forum for information-sharing and cooperation among North Carolina grantmakers. We help our members share knowledge, experiences and lessons learned, and provide opportunities for N.C. foundations and corporate grantmakers to work together to improve the effectiveness and ultimate impact of grantmaking.
